MEMORIES OF A LORD Dance by Olivier Dubois
Modern & Contemporary Dance

57m
After Mon élue noire, a solo created for Germaine Acogny in 2015, Olivier Dubois returns to a work of composition for a plurality of bodies.
Thirty men, amateur dancers, invade the memoirs of a lord set and echo the lone man, the lord-dancer Sébastien Perrault.
This is perhaps the story of a king of a great solitude. The story of an obscure battle and a triumphant man.
Three time periods intertwine:
Glory (Solar time: power, vision, insurgency. The world, men and love. He persipires, he burns, he lives. The hero.)
The Fall (Lunar Time: power, barbarism, terror. The world, men and civilisation. Terror and tremors. The tyrant.)
The Farewell (The swan song abandonment. Humanity taking refuge. He is a star, a tomb, a dream and a disappearance. He sing.)
Director: Olivier Dubois (Choreography)
Cast: Sébastien Perrault and Rémi Richaud (Interpretation), Franҫois Caffenne (Music), 40 Men Amateurs
