EMBRASE MOI by Kaori Ito and Théo Touvet
Modern & Contemporary Dance
•
28m
Kaori Ito and Théo Touvet pay tribute to all those they have loved and who have "prepared" them for other loves. Creating in two voices, they reveal their amorous "anatomy" without false modesty, in the manner of a logbook. Fragments of break-up letters, empty promises, declarations, words of love, make up this fiery corpus. An emotional experience.
"I encounter millions of bodies in my life; Of these millions I can desire hundreds; But of those hundreds, I love only one." (Roland Barthes)
"By talking to you without restraint about our sentimental stories through our first love experiences, we seek to reveal ourselves as much as possible as in front of the one we love. We also explore our taboos, our scars and wounds and the carnal encounter of our bodies, in a choreography that is tenderly delicate and caring as much as it is brutal." (Kaori Ito and Théo Touvet)
Director: Yvan Schreck (Director)
Cast: Kaori Ito (Dancer & Stage Direction); Théo Touvet (Dancer & Stage Direction)
