The Starliters are a variety band that perform current tunes with a present-day vibe such as Zak Brown, Darius Rucker and Norah Jones as well as generations of classics featuring The Beatles, Stones, Elvis, Chuck Berry and Rockabilly influences. They deliver many country standards from Johnny Cash, Haggard, Hank Williams, Marty Robbins to traditional western swing styles. They often change between genres seamlessly and add irresistible classics from the great American songbook flawlessly performing Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett, Louis Jordan and Louis Armstrong favorites!
They are the perfect illustration that one can be Italian and gifted for typically American music. Rockabilly, hillbilly boogie, honky tonk or western swing, nothing can resist them. From their first steps on stage, they avoid standards and instead take up obscure pearls, lost at the crossroads of the 1940s and 1950s on several independent American labels.
This fascination and love for unknown artists from across the Atlantic proves that The Starliters are in search of authentic rockabilly sound.
Cast: Greg Harrison (Base Guitar), Jim Tidwell (Vocalist), Alan Zukor (Drummer)
