The Rock and Folk of MOLOCH MONOLYTHE

For a long time an ultra intimate solo folk project influenced by Elliott Smith or Sufjan Stevens, only revealed in snippets on the internet, Moloch / Monolyth has evolved and asserted itself.
Initially an intimate folk project by Michaël Martin, Moloch/Monolyth has been enriched with new members over the years, until becoming the current quartet in 2022. Their luminous rock with contagious energy is still sometimes tinged with folk, just like their various influences that they draw as much from rock from the 90s to today (Pixies, Fontaines D.C., Together Pangea...) as from pop or folk (Death Cab For Cutie, Elliott Smith, Eels, The Dodos...). After a first EP "Farewell Full Moon" (self-produced / 2016), they specify their purpose on their first album "Naive Stories" (Grabuge Records / 2019), which they defend in venues and festivals (RockSchool Barbey, Krakatoa, Climax festival, Musicalarue festival...).
On stage and on recording, Michaël (guitar / vocals), Ita (drums / vocals), Tony (guitar / vocals) and Alexandre (keyboards / vocals) unite their voices to create powerful choirs on very intimate lyrics, mixing reflections on death, parenthood and the emotional states that run through their lives.
Cast: Michaël (Guitar / Vocals), Ita (Drums / Vocals), Tony (Guitar / Vocals) and Alexandre (Keyboards / Vocals)
