ONE CHARMING NIGHT by Les Talens Lyriques
Orchestra & Symphony Concerts

1h 25m
Two centuries and two nations meet in this recital placed under the sign of enchantments and the marvelous mysteries of the night.
The Fairy Queen is Purcell's last lyric score, and a success of extraordinary charm and finesse. Conceived as a series of musical interludes (or "masks") to accompany a performance of Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream, it contains the poetic quintessence of a composer gifted with prodigious power of inspiration.
