AMALGAMES Dance inside the Grande Chapelle du Palais des Papes d'Avignon

40m
The Palais des Papes opened its doors to dance and the Les Hivernales festival, for a Bagouet marathon that led the public through the Grand Tinel, the Grande Chapelle and the Grande Audience.
For this second collaboration, Anne Le Batard and Jean-Antoine Bigot of the company Ex Nihilo will create in the Grande Chapelle, Amalgame(s), a site-specific creation. They propose to bring into play the modesty of the bodies in relation to the immensity of this place more than steeped in history.
They want to play on the sound resonance of the room for the musicians and on the dispersion in space for the dancers. This new creation takes on its full dimension with the presence in the show of guitarist and composer Pascal Ferrari, accompanied by drummer Régis Boulard. They will be accompanied by the dancers Corinne Pontana and Rolando Rocha, with whom they have been working and sharing for several years the pleasure and challenge of putting the dance in the most unlikely spaces.
Director: Azziz Zerhouni (Direction), Anne Le Batard and Jean-Antoine Bigot (Choreography)
Cast: Jean-Antoine Bigot, Lauren Bolze, Jean-Marc Fillet, Lauriane Madelaine, Corinne Pontana, Rolando Rocha
