The collision of the two incredible worlds of Japan and Serbia, creates an extraordinary spectacle: the Anime Symphony!
Inspired by the spirit of anime films and games with the special melodies performed the symphony orchestra conducted by Maestro Kenichi Shimura. This unique show unites two distant worlds - the most popular anime movies and games and a symphony orchestra.
The ensemble, made up of talented musicians, as well as soloists and special artistic performances, is directed by Maestro Kenichi Shimura's baton.
The performance includes music from famous anime and cartoons: Sword Art Online, Fate/zero, Fullmetal Alchemist, Black Butler, Attack on Titan, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Tokyo Ghoul, Tokyo Revengers, Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle, My Neighbor Totoro and other popular works of the Japanese animation and game industry. In addition, the music itself is accompanied by film screenings.
Special charm is brought by vocal artists, primarily Japanese female soloists (like the Tenor Sumika), often accompanied by Serbian artists.
THE MAESTRO
Kenichi Shimura studied conducting under Kazuyoshi Akiyama, Nobutaka Masui, A.Polyanitschko, V.Sinaisky, E.Nikotra, and J.Bierhans.
He has recently conducted the St Petersburg Symphony Orchestra, Czech National Philharmonic Orchestra, Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, Novi Sad Opera Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa, Tokyo City Orchestra.
He has performed with the Japan Century Symphony Orchestra, and many other orchestras in Japan and abroad.
Since 2013, he has worked with the Tokyo Chamber Orchestra on many orchestral concerts of music accompanying movies, animations, games, etc. as a way for culture and art to be transmitted from Japan to the world.
THE ORCHESTRA
The famous composer, conductor and pedagogue Stanislav Binički founded the Belgrade Military Orchestra on September 26, 1899. It was the first concert-type orchestra in Serbia, whose tradition has been preserved for three centuries by the Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defense, proudly bearing the name of its founder.
With its program and repertoire diversity, genre adaptability, high artistic criteria and a wide range of performing possibilities, it affirms and represents the Republic of Serbia in a worthy way.
Achieving rich cooperation with the most eminent artists from the country and abroad, the Ensemble toured in Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Italy, Hungary, Romania, Germany and Russia, where they had more than 80 concerts.
