Born to two actor parents, Mélina Tobiana showed a great interest in singing and music at a very young age. She learned her trade in several Parisian cabarets: the Trois Maillets, the Chat Noir, the Petit Pont, etc...
During this period, she will be accompanied by Benoît Daniel, Emmanuel Sourdeix and Mike Torjman. In 2015, she released her first album "Mélina Tobiana", composed in collaboration with Martin Guimbellot and produced by Outhere Records on the Outnote label.
The same year saw the release of the album of the group Nanan (jazz quintet for young audiences) created by drummer Lydie Dupuis, of which she is the main performer. The album "Nanan" released in 2015 was a favorite of the Charles Cros academy. In 2024 she joined the Galaad Moutoz Orchestra whose first EP "Heal my soul"
Mélina Tobiana, a (very) promising new generation of vocal jazz! Cradled between Brel and Armstrong, the thirty-something imposes her style and her definitively soulful tone of voice with her quartet galloping after jazz, groove and soul. In the tradition of Esperanza Spalding, Gretchen Parlato and Gregory Porter, with the French touch in addition!
Cast: Mélina TOBIANA (Vocals), Mélody LINHART (Vocals-Guitar), Edouard MONNIN (Piano), Thomas POSNER (Double Bass), Clément BRAJTMAN (Vocals-Drums)
