EYM Trio is a French jazz band from Lyon, Rhône-Alpes. It is composed of a piano, a double bass and a drum kit. The band is used to integrating influences from elsewhere, inspired by their tours, into their music.
Originally from Lyon, EYM Trio was formed in 2011 from the meeting of pianist Elie Dufour with double bassist Yann Phayphet and drummer Marc Michel.
The name of the trio corresponds to the first letters of the first names of the members of the group. For years, EYM Trio has been a variable geometry concept composed of a core group of three musicians. They have collaborated with Marian Badoï (Romania), Mohamed Abozekry (Egypt), Mirande Shah (India), Gilad Hekselman (United States), Toby Hack (Australia), Quinn Oulton (United Kingdom), Anne Sila (France), Kadam and Raina Parikh (Kathak dancers, India), Sapan Anjaria (India), Ikram Khan (India).
