TRIO LUZ AZUL Tango & Jazz
Flamenco, Latin & Traditional Music

Luz Azul is tango. Crazy, atypical, revisited, reincarnated, unscrupulous, blameless (or very little)... But Luz Azul is also jazz. Nostalgic, tribal, exotic, urban, padded, complicit. The particularity of this trio lies in this fusion and in an unprecedented instrumental marriage: the nineteenth-century arpeggione (Simon Drappier), the Argentinian bandoneon (Pablo Nemirovsky) and the Iranian zarb (Pablo Cueco).
These instruments are the mirrors of the cultures from which they come. Cultures so far apart, and yet... This trio reveals the links between these musical worlds and builds bridges between continents. Luz Azul plays a disconcerting imaginary music, joyfully mixing scholarly tradition, popular creation, impromptu composition and concerted improvisation.
Cast: Pablo Nemirovsky (Bandoneon), Simon Drappier (Arpeggione), Pablo Cueco (Zarb)
