After a hair-raising and original Nutcracker which has thrilled a large audience in Geneva and in Europe, Jeroen Verbruggen comes back to us with one of the musical universes he is particularly fond of: Baroque music.
By its complexity, its virtuosity and its desire to shake up conventions, one can affirm that its choreographic language is in adequacy with the baroque style. A style characterized by the importance of counterpoint which tends towards an expressive and contrasting harmony while leaving a large place for ornamentation.
In this program, the choreographer abandons narration for a while in order to give all its (dis) -measurement to his learned and sophisticated body language.
Director: Marc Minkowski (Music Director)
Cast: Jeroen Verbrugeen (Choreography), Émilie Roy (Scenography)
